Recreated from Shermay's grandma's handwritten recipe, a cherished family heirloom passed down over the generations.

Distinctly Nonya in aroma and flavor, it showcases the sweet earthy notes of coriander, turmeric, chili, anise, five-spice, garlic, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom.

It is suitable for chicken, beef, lamb, and mutton. For a vegetarian version, add a mix of potatoes, carrots, okra (ladies' fingers), and brinjal (eggplant). The step-by-step recipe can be found on the back of each box. It pairs especially well with roti jala (lacy crepe pancake), baguette (French loaf), or rice (preferably jasmine or basmati).

This design was officially launched at SingaPlural 2017, as part of Singapore Design Week, and is proudly supported by DesignSingapore. The packaging features a commissioned illustration by the local muralist Yip Yew Chong.

Once opened, seal well, store in freezer for up to 1 month.  If unopened, keeps until best before date.

Roti Jala Recipe


200 g plain (all-purpose) flour
3 eggs
1/2 tsp fine salt
400 ml milk
2 tbsp oil
oil, for greasing


Mix all the batter ingredients together. Beat the batter until it is smooth. Strain to remove any lumps. Set the mixture aside to rest for at least 20 mins. (Place it in the refrigerator if it is left to rest longer.)


Lightly grease a crepe pan or flat plan with oil. Heat over a low-medium flame.

Scoop come batter up using the Roti Jala dispenser. Using a circular motion, drizzle the batter onto the pan to form a thin lacy pancake. Hold a small plate or bowl underneath the dispenser to prevent any excess batter from dripping onto the pan. The Roti Jala is cooked once it pulls away from the pan easily (about 3 min). Fold it into quarters then remove. Do not flip it as you would a pancake. Continue with steps 3 and 4, stirring the batter each time (as flour tends to sink to the bottom).


Cover the Roti Jala with cling film or a clean moist tea towel until it is ready to be served.

For Non-Peak periods,
if you have placed an order before 12pm, your order will be shipped within 1 to
2 days.


For orders placed
after 12pm, we will dispatch and deliver within 2 to 4 days.


For Peak periods such
as Christmas and Chinese New Year, delivery will take up to 3 to 5 working days,
depending on the number of orders and our shipping carrier.


For Express
: You will receive your orders within the same day. The cut-off
timing for this delivery option is 2pm.


Orders made after 2pm,
will not be eligible for this delivery option. This shipping option will
only be available on weekdays.


We will not ship
any orders on Public Holidays as we will be closed.

Return Policy

We will require that you email back your invoice, snap and send product
images and proof of any damage/ wrong item.


We will then evaluate accordingly, and follow up with a refund or
replacement, if eligible. You may keep all products (damaged/wrong item) once your
refund/replacement has been approved, if we do not request for a return.
