An economist and oenologist by training, Edwin began his wine career by picking grapes and working as a cellar rat in Australia, the US and France. After seven years in France, Ed returned to Singapore and founded the first online wine store - ewineasia. Today as a wine educator, Ed juggles many hats. He teaches marketing at the HK University Wine MBA program, writes a column for Appetite Magazine and the Malaysian Star newspapers, reviews restaurants for both the Peak Selections and the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards. He also organizes wine competitions and sits on several international wine judging panels.

Ed has also authored several books including Pairing Wine with Asian Food, Way of Tea and The Wines of France. Another book, which he co-authored, New Frontiers in Taste received a Gourmand award for 'Best Wine and Food Book 2009'. Ed dabbles in cooking and was invited to present food and wine at the Asian Culinary Forum in San Francisco, alongside international celebrity chefs. He has 'appeared' on Radio 93.8 and American National Public Radio. Ed loves presenting food topics such as olive oil, cheese, chocolate and sauces as well. Ed was recently nominated as International Wine and Spirits Communicator of the Year 2011.
