Chef Joycelyn Shu

About Chef Joycelyn Shu

Joycelyn Shu, the former fashion and beauty editor of Singapore Women's Weekly turned writer, stylist and culinary instructor, counts desserts as her biggest passion (although shoes come a close second). When not teaching classes at Shermay's Cooking School, she can be found in the kitchen baking for therapy and cooking for her nearest and dearest, on the couch obsessing over recipes from her 1000-plus-and-counting cookbook collection, or next to her laptop rambling about her culinary trials and tribulations on Kuidaore, her food blog. Her first book, Nostalgia Is The Most Powerful Seasoning, is a collection of food essays with a sprinkling of heirloom recipes. Entirely self-taught, read more about what she gets up to on Kuidaore.
